Description: This will be the first excursion for the new “Bulimba Creek Catchment Project”. Access to the creek will be via Greendale Road. The excursion will explore the banks of a water course (often dry) that runs from Belmont Hill to the spring that gives the creek its name. The walking is easy with no significant inclines. The vegetation is open sclerophyll forest with a rich variety of shrubs and vines. There is a wide range of plants to keep the botanists among us happy for at least 3 hours. We estimate we will be completed before lunch – so drinking water is all that will be needed.

Amenities: There are no amenities close by. Beware the closest public toilets are some distance away!

Bring: drinking water, hat, water, sunscreen, walking pole. if needed, binoculars, camera, no pets. Wear stout footwear and long-sleeved shirt and long pants because of the uneven surface and some lantana and scratchy vines, especially near the spring itself.
