Australian Mushrooms & other Fungi by Queensland Mycological Society (small item shipping applies)
This guide is organized by morphogroups, i.e. groups of fungi with recognisable similarities of form, structure and texture. However, some fungi with similar forms are not closely related. The largest group illustrated are the mushrooms, which are usually fleshy fungi with a cap, gills and stem.
Other similar fleshy umbrella shaped fungi may have pores (boletes). Some mushrooms have small or absent stems and are fan-shaped.
Mushrooms, along with boletes, fans and tough-gilled fungi are depicted on one side of this guide, while other fungi, including polypores (brackets), eathers, puffballs, earthstars, stinkhorns, corals, birds nests, jellies, clubs, cups and discs are shown on the reverse. Three species of slime mould are included as well. These are fungi-like organisms in the Kingdom Protista that also reproduce by spores.
This booklet can be picked up at meetings with no charge. Small package shipping applies to this product.
