Club Meeting 17 August ’26. Speaker & Topic: Andrew Taylor and Gaby Hill – Private citizens forming a Nature Reserve in Queensland. The journey from idea to reality.

Club members Andrew Taylor and Gaby Hill are passionate about nature conservation and sustainable land management. They have turned this passion into reality through the creation of Dundas Nature Reserve (Dundas NR), 41 hectares of dry rainforest and vine thicket habitat adjacent to D’Aguilar National Park.

Andrew and Gaby will describe their journey from idea to reality, from purchasing a property through to creating the nature reserve. They have drive, energy and commitment and have already accomplished several regenerative and survey projects. They have made Dundas NR available to researchers, and to the club for an excursion. They have embraced the use of available technology, apps and programs to assist them as non-scientists, and they will demonstrate some of these during their presentation.
