Details Robert Wilson, Operations Supervisor at the Brisbane Botanic Gardens, has kindly offered to lead The Queensland Naturalists on a tour of The Queensland Conservation Collection.
The Queensland Conservation Collection is a specialized, 4-hectare section at the Brisbane Botanic Gardens Mt Coot-tha designed to preserve and showcase the state’s rare and threatened plant species. It is one of the most vital botanical projects in the region. The area is dedicated to conserving as many of Queensland’s threatened plant species as climatically possible.
The tour has a dedicated walking loop and should take an hour or so. Depending on interest, we may extend our time at the gardens and investigate some other sites.
