The General Meeting & Annual General Meeting of The Queensland Naturalists’ Club Inc.; ABN 22 586 275 203, to be held 23 February 2027

Notice is given that the Annual General Meeting of The Queensland Naturalists’ Club Incorporated (QNC) will be held on Monday, 23 November 2026 at the Toowong Uniting Church Hall, 82 Sherwood Road. Toowong, Qld. The meeting will commence at 7.30 p.m. (Please note date change)

The evening will commence with Herpetologist Steve K Wilson providing a summary of his findings on the recent long excursion to Windorah. After a short break we will move to the AGM where Council reports and the financial statements for the year ended 31 August 2026 will be presented. The election of the Management Council for 2027 will then take place including for the positions of President, Vice-President, Secretary, Assistant Secretary (includes membership), Excursions Officer, Treasurer, Web Master, Journal Editor, Newsletter Editor and up to 3 Council Members. Nominations are sought from financial members for the above positions. Please contact Secretary Judy if you would like to nominate for a position or submit a proxy vote secretary@qnc.org.au

Current President Annette Neill will then provide more information on the Windorah long excursion and will provide a report on QNC iNaturalist activities over the past few years and how our records help contribute to citizen science. The meeting will conclude with supper and an opportunity to talk over another successful year as well as planning ideas for the next. There is no Club Meeting in December.
