Details: Half-day excursion with a focus on aquatic life. Hopefully Common Shutwing Cordulephya pygmaea dragonflies will be out (see image below). These dragonflies like to sit on tree trunks or even power poles during the day and are an easy photographic subject. Interestingly this is also the only know location in Brisbane for Coastal Petaltail Petalura litorea. For the Botanists, there is a swamp close by which has a large number of Tall Saw-Sedge Gahnia clarkei, and the area is being rehabilitated by B4C, Bulimba Ck Catchment Coordinating Committee.

What to bring:
- Long sleeves/pants, possibly shoes suitable for wading
- Repellent against insect bites if you require
- Camera
- Water
- Chair and thermos for a morning cup of tea/coffee
