Tech-in-the-field Cooloola Bioblitz March 2026

Cooloola Coastcare is gearing up to launch the Tech in the Field BioBlitz, a hands-on event bringing together scientists, project leaders and experienced citizen scientists for three days of high-tech learning. The event is designed to build participants’ confidence using tools such as online and offline mapping apps, wildlife photography, GPS units, acoustic recorders, and digital ID platforms to collect robust ecological data.

Colleen, Judy, Cathie, Greg and myself have been to many Cooloola BioBlitz, and they are first rate gatherings of naturalists both professional and citizen scientists. This event is particularly recommended as it covers the use of technology in the field, which is something most members would benefit from learning more about.
