Meeting point: Meet at 9:00 for a 9:30 start. Enter JC Trotter Park at the car park on the left 860 m from the main road. There is a covered picnic area with benches about 200 m inside the park, but no fresh water or toilets (nearest is Ampol near Ney Rd).

Once you have successfully registered you will receive an automatic email confirming your registration, along with the contact details of the excursion leader.  Alternatively, register by email to excursion @qnc.org.au with ‘JC Trotter Park’ in the subject line. Please include name and contact details of all attendees, mobile phone and email address. Guests are welcome and if you are attending as a guest email registration is required.

Details: The park is part of the Brisbane Koala Bushland corridor which stretches to Daisy Hill Conservation Park. The main 3.4 km track goes through eucalypt and melaleuca bushland following Tingalpa Creek reserve. A list of 184 plant species will be available from the leader. The track is gently undulating, and although eroded by the rains since January, it is generally easy underfoot. There are several seats along the way. QNC last visited in August 2011.

Flora and Fauna: Flora such as Xanthorrhoea, various Banksia sp., Gompholbium, Boronia et al. might be in flower. A variety of waterbirds including pelicans and forest birds are common.

Bring: drinking water, morning tea, a stool, sunscreen, hat, insect repellent.
