Club Meeting, 21 July 2025; Speaker & Topic: Ross Coupland – Thermal imaging, using infrared technology for discovering and studying wildlife

Recently, thermal imaging equipment has become much more accessible to the general public here in Australia. It is now regarded as a game-changing tool in the study of natural history in the field and has many benefits for research and conservation applications.

Ross will be sharing some notable finds and encounters with Aussie wildlife using a thermal device and sharing a recent discovery about the biology of a family of insects which has remained completely unknown until now.
